From June 9–11, 2026, the Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference & Exhibition (APGH 2026) was successfully held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in Sarawak, Malaysia. Bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, and technology experts from more than 30 countries across the Asia-Pacific region, the event served as a key platform for exploring pathways toward the regional hydrogen economy.
APGH 2026 marked the fourth international promotional stop for CIHC 2027. Following successful roadshows in France, Spain, and the Netherlands, the CIHC Organizing Committee turned its focus to the rapidly expanding Asia-Pacific hydrogen market, launching a new phase of its global outreach with a professional, pragmatic, and internationally oriented approach.
During APGH 2026, Xing Weiping, Consul General of China in Kuching, delivered a keynote address on behalf of Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing.
In his speech, Ambassador Ouyang highlighted that China possesses a complete hydrogen industry value chain, world-class manufacturing capabilities, and extensive project implementation experience, which are highly complementary to Sarawak's abundant hydropower, solar, and biomass resources. Guided by the principles of consultation, joint development, and shared benefits, he proposed six priority areas for future cooperation between China and Sarawak:
Infrastructure connectivity
Consul General Xing further noted that China's annual hydrogen production has exceeded 39 million tonnes, ranking first in the world, while Chinese electrolyzers and other core hydrogen technologies are now exported to more than 30 countries and regions. He emphasized that deeper hydrogen cooperation between China and Sarawak will not only stimulate regional economic growth but also strengthen energy security amid global energy market uncertainties.
Meanwhile, 2026 marks the first year of China's 15th Five-Year Plan, ushering in unprecedented policy support for the hydrogen industry. The recently released 15th Five-Year Plan for the Construction of a New Energy System calls for coordinated development across the entire hydrogen value chain—from production and storage to transportation and end use. It sets a target of producing 2 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually by 2030, while promoting downstream applications including green ammonia, green methanol, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and expanding hydrogen deployment across transportation, power generation, and industrial sectors.
Against this backdrop, the global promotion of CIHC 2027 has taken on even greater significance. By fostering industrial collaboration through an open platform, promoting technology sharing through practical partnerships, and connecting global stakeholders through international exhibitions, CIHC continues to contribute to building an open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial global hydrogen ecosystem.
Throughout APGH 2026, representatives of the CIHC Organizing Committee focused on high-value, one-on-one engagement, visiting exhibitors across the exhibition floor and holding in-depth discussions with companies and professional visitors from Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and beyond.

Through detailed face-to-face meetings, the team introduced the upgraded vision for CIHC 2027, highlighting key enhancements including:
Upgraded technical conference programme
The presentation attracted strong interest from both exhibitors and industry professionals.

Scheduled for March 24–26, 2027, CIHC 2027 will take place at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Covering 60,000 square metres, the exhibition is expected to welcome over 600 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and diversified applications spanning the entire hydrogen value chain—from renewable electricity and green hydrogen production to downstream applications.
Alongside the exhibition, one flagship international hydrogen congress and multiple specialized forums will bring together leading experts, business executives, and investment institutions from around the world, establishing CIHC as both a global thought leadership platform and a hub for international business opportunities.
From Europe to Asia-Pacific, from Rotterdam to Kuching, CIHC continues to expand its global footprint with confidence and purpose. At a pivotal moment for the global energy transition and carbon neutrality, CIHC 2027 remains committed to delivering a more professional platform, a more open international network, and deeper engagement with the global hydrogen community.
Join us in Beijing from March 24–26, 2027, at CIHC 2027, and be part of one of the world's premier gatherings for the global hydrogen industry.
