Shanghai Qingsheng Chuanghe Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Qingsheng Energy), a wholly owned subsidiary of Shanghai H-RISE New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., has started production at its PEM electrolyser manufacturing line, which has an annual production capacity of 1 GW. The company’s core products have also obtained CE certification from TÜV Rheinland.

The production line is equipped with cleaning systems, precision inspection equipment and automated assembly systems, enabling flexible manufacturing across a broad range of products. It can produce PEM electrolysers with hydrogen production capacities ranging from 0.5 Nm³/h to 1,000 Nm³/h, covering the R&D, testing and mass-production requirements of products from the hundred-watt to megawatt scale.
During stack assembly, the production line uses closed-loop pressure and displacement control systems to precisely control the entire assembly process. Vision-based inspection technology is also used during component manufacturing to monitor the fit and alignment of individual parts in real time, helping ensure consistent product quality.
After assembly, each product undergoes multiple inspection procedures, including gas-tightness testing, straightness measurement and electrical resistance testing. These checks help ensure assembly accuracy and product reliability.
The core production line is housed in a 1,000-square-meter Class 10,000 cleanroom. The facility maintains strict controls over dust, contaminants, temperature and humidity in line with precision manufacturing requirements. These measures help minimize product defects and performance variations while supporting high assembly accuracy and long service life.
Backed by the technical expertise and industrial capabilities of its parent company, Qingsheng Energy’s new 1 GW production line strengthens its ability to supply PEM electrolysers for variable renewable-energy applications, including wind and solar power.
The new manufacturing capacity is expected to support the broader deployment of green hydrogen projects and provide additional equipment supply capacity for the growing renewable-hydrogen market.
