Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ("GUOFUHEE") has completed the shipment of key equipment for its 10 MW hybrid Alkaline (ALK) and Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) water electrolysis system. Engineered for high-fluctuation renewable power environments, the project couples ALK and PEM electrolyzers to leverage their complementary strengths—combining ALK's low-cost, large-scale production with PEM's wide operational load and rapid dynamic response. This hybrid solution addresses industry constrains associated with traditional single-ALK systems, such as narrow load ranges, poor renewable energy absorption, and lower-than-projected output realization.

Following on-site installation and commissioning, the hybrid electrolysis equipment will enter long-duration operational validation, establishing a replicable engineering model for commercial-scale deployment. In response to the urgent demand for wide power-fluctuation adaptability in large-scale renewable hydrogen production, ALK-PEM hybrid technology offers both an economical and reliable pathway to resolve wind and solar curtailment issues. With this equipment delivery, hybrid hydrogen production transitions from demonstration testing toward scaled commercial application, providing critical technological support for cost reduction, efficiency gains, and the buildout of modern energy systems.
