Chinese Hydrogen-Powered Heavy-Duty Truck Makes Debut at Brazil's Interlagos Race Track as FTXT Energy Demonstrates Real-World Operations

São Paulo, August 30, 2026 — Brazil’s Interlagos Auto Festival, a major automotive culture event, was held at the Interlagos Race Track in São Paulo from August 27 to 30, 2026.

During the event, FTXT Energy partnered with Brazilian company GABBARDO and leading technology research institute IPT to complete a full-chain demonstration of a hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck, covering hydrogen refueling verification, real-world logistics operations and professional race-track testing.

The demonstration combined real-world operation with public experience, showcasing the deployment potential, reliability and practicality of FTXT Energy’s hydrogen solutions. It also marked a new stage in the company’s development in Brazil, moving from technology validation toward real-world application.

End-to-End Validation From Hydrogen Refueling to Real-World Operations

Technology Demonstrated Through Third-Party Verification

Under the verification of Brazilian third-party organizations, a GWM hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck equipped with FTXT Energy’s core systems completed standardized hydrogen refueling operations at IPT, demonstrating the safety and technical maturity of the hydrogen refueling solution.

The truck was then deployed in real-world logistics operations, transporting multiple passenger vehicles from IPT to the festival venue. The cross-site transportation demonstrated the technical feasibility and operational suitability of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks for intercity heavy-duty freight applications in Brazil.

After arriving at the Interlagos Race Track, the truck conducted live dynamic test runs on the professional circuit in front of attendees. Its zero-emission operation, low noise levels and smooth driving performance received positive feedback from industry representatives and visitors.

Expanding From Heavy-Duty Trucks to Diversified Applications

Accelerating Its Global Development

Previously, supported by Great Wall Motor’s global presence, FTXT Energy launched regular local road testing in Brazil in cooperation with SENAI CIMATEC.

Leveraging Great Wall Motor’s market presence and industrial resources in Brazil, FTXT Energy has also continued to work closely with research institutions including IPT and the University of São Paulo. Through these collaborations, the company is building an ecosystem covering technology certification, application development and industrial cooperation.

Brazil, as one of South America’s key markets for new-energy development, represents an important part of FTXT Energy’s global strategy.
