ORDOS — On August 28th, Shuangliang Hydrogen officially shipped four 1,250 Nm³/h alkaline water electrolyzer units (Kingkong 5.0) alongside auxiliary systems for Phase I of the Inner Mongolia Baofeng Wind and Solar Hydrogen Production Project. Prior to shipment, the equipment successfully completed full-scale operational testing on Shuangliang's test platform, simulating renewable power fluctuations and extreme start-stop operating conditions.

The delivered equipment incorporates Shuangliang's proprietary core materials and structural components, including nickel-based catalysts, modified diaphragms, anti-creep gaskets, high-precision bipolar plates, and a zero-blue-spot nickel plating process. The structural design was specifically optimized for high-temperature alternating stress environments; across multiple rounds of thermal cycling tests, the system showed zero leakage and zero deformation.

Regarding technical performance, the electrolyzer maintains a DC power consumption of less than 4.4 kWh/Nm³ H2 at a high current density of 6,000 A/m². It is capable of continuous operation at a low load of 30% for over 24 hours, with a dynamic load regulation rate of 10% per second. Additionally, the system utilizes Incoloy 800H corrosion‑resistant piping to minimize operational energy degradation and material degradation over time.

Located in the Tuke Industrial Zone in Ordos, the Inner Mongolia Baofeng project serves as a flagship green hydrogen-coal olefin coupling demonstration initiative. The facility leverages local wind and solar resources to produce green hydrogen, replacing traditional fossil fuels in coal chemical manufacturing.
